Any experiences with low-dose Valium for muscle relaxation would be appreciated, too.

Over the past year and a half I've gone through intensive treatments for myofascial pain syndrome, including ultrasound, TENS, manual adjustment, physical therapy, and muscle relaxants. I just recently started a job that requires me to be on my feet all day, and my pain is flaring up something awful. I went and saw my GP today, and he prescribed me meloxicam after I was reluctant about Celebrex because of the cost. He also prescribed 2mg of Valium every 6 hours as needed for muscle relaxation, hoping that that works better for me than the others (Zanaflex, baclofen, etc.) ever did.

Thanks for your feedback about the meloxicam. I'm not sure if it's doing much yet, but I am on the max dose (15mg once a day) and apparently it builds up in your system over time. I would ask to try tramadol but I'm not sure if it would interact with my antidepressants and cause serotonin syndrome.

By larkspur, September 11, 2013 in Neuropathic and Chronic Pain Hi all.

I don't have any experience with valium but I do with the meloxicam. It was like aspirin for me as far as the anti-inflammatory process. It didn't do anything for my pain but on the other hand I only took it once a day. I;ve been off of it since they started me on tramadol and to be honest, I don't think it did anything for me. I hope it works well for you.

Do any of you have experience taking meloxicam and did you experience significant pain relief? I am a little nervous that I can't double up with aspirin (as I have been doing with OTC naproxen), and I'm not sure how good of a job it will do at relieving my muscular pain.

Meloxicam's efficacy and safety have also been extensively studied in cats, both Bioniche Animal Health, Belleville, Ontario) and valium (Diazepam 5 mg/mL.

Non-inferior efficacy of robenacoxib compared to meloxicam was diazepam and glycopyrollate (4), acepromazine and glycopyrollate (3).

Dogs were allocated randomly to the two treatment groups in a 2:1 ratio using computer generated randomization lists. The 2:1 ratio was used to obtain data in more dogs receiving robenacoxib and was predicted to cause only a modest (approximay 10%) reduction in statistical efficiency compared to a 1:1 ratio. Case allocation was stratified according to investigator and anticipated duration of surgery at two levels, < 1 hour and > 1 hour.

A treatment regimen of robenacoxib by subcutaneous injection followed by oral tablets had good tolerability and non-inferior efficacy compared to meloxicam for the management of peri-operative pain and inflammation associated with soft tissue surgery in dogs.

The incidence of adverse events in the two groups was compared with the Fisher Exact test.

Demographic and baseline data were compared between groups using the Mann–Whitney U test for ordinal (e.g.

Statistical significances between the groups, which differed in the substance compositions, were calculated by an one-way ANOVA. For the comparison of groups with same substance compositions under different experimental transport conditions a two-way ANOVA was applied followed by an all pairwise multiple comparison procedure (Holm-Sidak method) with an overall significance level of 0.05. Data are presented as means ± SD (n = 3). ANOVAs and Spearman’s ranking order correlation coefficients were calculated by means of the software SigmaStat 3.5.
